Newsletter
At present neither the Newsletter, nor the Wave are being published.
We hope to have the next Wave out in March and a Newsletter soon after.
Our fortnightly email-newsletter gives you the latest updates about what we as an organisation are up to. It is also our way to ask our supporters to give us a hand if need be or share their knowledge or resources. It contains a list of events happening locally as well as any news that might be relevant to locals.
We generally keep it very positive and like to include some feel good stories, great ideas and generally anything that helps people make connections with others in our community.
Our subscriber base has grown to over 950 in the past two years with people clearly stating that they feel better informed and more connected with their community since receiving the newsletter.
To subscribe to the newsletter send the New Brighton Project an email with 'subscribe me please' as the subject and include your first and last name: nbproject@xtra.co.nz
In order to get your local event listed we need the following details:
Name of event, time, date, location, description (several sentences), contact details including phone number (preferably a landline)
At the end of every month we also publish a printed newsletter featuring a community diary, some interesting little stories and a profile of one of our local groups.
Advertising of community events for our monthly hardcopy newsletter "The Wave" need to be emailed to the New Brighton Project before the 20th of each month: nbproject@xtra.co.nz
"The Wave" is available for free (donations appreciated) at several local shops as well as the library.
